Frequently Asked Questions

Slate stone is a sedimentary rock formation. so each layer of the stone is quite different from the other. When we engrave, we bring out various layers creating a magical look.

It is ideal to fix natural stone with good quality tile adhesives

All murals are numbered and packed in wooden crates with adequate support using thermocol and foam.

For retaining the look and avoiding dirt and fungus to adhere on the stone, it is mandatory to coat the natural stone with sealant after laying. Our engraved stones are pre-coated with sealant and they require no recoating of they same.

General Questions

  1. Water seepage from behind should not happen.
  2. Avoid cleaning with strong acidic cleaners.
  3. Regular maintenance will help in retaining the look.

As this requires a lot of equipment and infrastructure, it is not possible to Engrave at site.

If the stone can be transported to our factory, we can engrave any size. Photo engraving however has size limitation (27″ x 36″).

If it is the interiors, it will remain for good. In case of exterior, it really depends on the conditions prevailing.

General Information

  1. Durability: Limestone is a highly durable natural stone that can withstand extreme weather conditions, making it an ideal material for roofing. It is resistant to cracking, chipping, and weathering, ensuring long-lasting performance.
  2. Natural beauty: Limestone has a beautiful, natural appearance that adds elegance and aesthetic appeal to any building. It comes in a range of colors, including white, gray, tan, and brown, offering versatility in design options.
  3. Thermal insulation: Limestone roof tiles have excellent thermal insulation properties, helping to regulate temperature and reduce energy consumption. This can result in lower heating and cooling costs for the building.
  4. Fire resistance: Limestone is a non-combustible material, making it highly resistant to fire. This provides added safety and peace of mind for homeowners or building owners.
  5. Low maintenance: Limestone floors require minimal maintenance. They do not require sealing, and any stains or moss can be easily cleaned with mild detergents and water. This saves time and effort on maintenance tasks.
  6. Environmentally friendly: Limestone is a natural material that is abundant and readily available. It is a sustainable choice for roofing, parking, landscape as it does not deplete natural resources. Additionally, limestone roof tiles can be recycled or reused at the end of their lifespan.
  7. Sound insulation: Limestone has excellent sound insulation properties and can reduce external noise, providing a quieter indoor environment.

Overall, the advantages of limestone roof tiles include durability, natural beauty, thermal insulation, fire resistance, low maintenance, environmental friendliness, and sound insulation. These qualities make limestone a popular choice for both residential and commercial applications.

Granite, a massive, hard and durable  “igneous” rock, consisting mostly of feldspar, mica, and quartz, has been used as a common building material for thousands of years, due to its strength and durability.Granite quarries, depending on their geographical location, produce a wide range of colors and movement that also allow granite to be a great option for interior decorating, function and design. There is a myriad of misinformation presented about the “high maintenance” of Granite. In fact, Granite is very low maintenance. Your Granite or any natural stone should be sealed when it is installed, and then re-seal as needed. Sealing is a very simple process, similar to using furniture polish on your wood. Since each granite is different, there is no set timeframe for re-sealing your granite. However, you can do a simple water test by dripping a few drops of water onto your countertop. If your granite absorbs the water, it’s time to re-seal. If the water sits beaded on the top, there is no need to re-seal. You can schedule this simple test seasonally, (maybe at the same time as your spring and fall maintenance checks). With routine maintenence of soap and water for daily cleaning, your granite should last a lifetime.

Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of carbonate materials, mainly calcite and dolomite. In geology, the term “marble” refers to metamorphosed limestone, but it’s use in the stone industry more broadly encompasses serpentines, limestones and dolomites that are capable of taking a high polish. Although Italy is most famous for, and the largest producer and exporter of marble. In India also, we have a large variety of marbles mostly from Rajasthan. Because marble will etch with acidic foods such as lemons, vinegar, ketchup, and oranges, it is often suggested to select a “honed” (matte) finish when making your marble selection. Although many companies try to imitate the look of marble in man-made materials, there is truly nothing as beautiful and unique as natural marble.

Quartzite is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock which was originally pure quartz sandstone. Sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure usually related to tectonic compression within orogenic belts. Pure quartzite is usually white to grey, though quartzites often occur in various shades of pink and red due to varying amounts of iron oxide. Other colors, such as yellow, green, blue and orange, are due to other minerals. The beauty, hardness, and color palette of quartzite have propelled the popularity of Natural Quartzites to be one of the leading preferences for countertops.

Slate is popular for a wide variety of uses such as roofing, flooring, and flagging because of its durability and attractive appearance. When selecting slate, you can use the idea of the metamorphic spectrum to help you identify stones that are suitable for your needs. Low-grade slate, which has not been subjected to much metamorphism, may split along its layers. Higher grades of slate are more robust, and phyllite is also strong and resistant to cracking. Schist can sometimes be troublesome because the larger mica grains are prone to peeling off. However, some schists have less mica and more quartz and are exceptionally strong. Your best bet for evaluating a given stone is to examine the edges and look for signs of flaking. Also, note how much sparkle the stone has. A bit of shine is an indication of a stronger slate. While slate was originally used mostly in the Northeastern US due to the proximity of slate quarries, slate’s popularity has spread nationwide. Quarries in the US still operate, and slate from India, Asia, and South America have also become commonplace. (from Use Natural Stone website: usenaturalstone.org)

Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed by the cementing together of naturally accumulated rock fragments and organic sediments via a chemical process in shallow prehistoric marine environments. Limestone’s granular composition consists primarily of calcite. Limestone varies in degrees of hardness; the densest stones can be polished to a very high gloss finish. The most common colors are beige, gray, white, yellow and brown. As with marble, acid and acidic foods will etch the surface of the limestone. Proper care and maintenance require the use of only neutral soaps and detergents. Limestone is also a porous stone and requires preventative sealing with silicone-based impregnators. Limestone is quite durable, and with proper installation and maintenance, some types can perform extremely well, even in high traffic areas.
